This Privacy Policy explains how Simplif ("Simplif", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares your personal data when you visit our website, place an order or contact us. It also explains the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are
Simplif is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13592246). We are the data controller of your personal data, which means we decide how and why it is used.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at support@simplif.com.

We do not intentionally collect special category data (such as health information or political opinions). Please do not include it in messages to us.
3. Where your data comes from
We collect personal data:
- directly from you, when you place an order, create an account, sign up for updates or contact us;
- automatically, when you browse the website, through cookies and similar technologies;
- from our service providers, such as payment processors, delivery carriers and our e-commerce platform.
4. How and why we use your data
- Fulfilling your order: Processing payment, arranging delivery, handling returns, cancellations and refunds Legal basis: Performing our contract with you

You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time (see section 9).
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data for money. We share it only where needed:
- E-commerce platform: our online store is run on Shopify, which hosts the website and processes order, customer and payment data on our behalf. Shopify may also act as an independent controller for some purposes, as described in its own privacy notice.
- Payment providers: to take payments and prevent fraud.
- Delivery and logistics partners: to deliver your order and, where relevant, handle customs clearance for deliveries outside the UK. This means sharing your name, address and contact details with carriers and customs authorities.
- Service providers: such as email and customer support tools, analytics and advertising providers, IT and cloud hosting providers, and professional advisers (for example accountants and lawyers).
- Authorities and other parties: where we are required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, customers or others. If our business is ever sold or reorganised, your data may be passed to the new owner on the same terms as this policy.
Where service providers handle data on our behalf, they may only use it for our purposes and must protect it.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website working (for example, remembering your basket), to understand how it is used, and, where you agree, to measure and personalise advertising. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies. You can change your choices through the cookie banner on our website, where available, or through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.
7. International transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom. Because we sell to customers across the UK, the European Economic Area (including Norway) and elsewhere, and because some of our providers operate globally, your data may be transferred to or accessed from countries outside the one you live in.
Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA to a country without an adequacy decision, we use approved safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above.
- Order and financial records: generally up to six years after the order, to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements.
- Customer support messages: for as long as needed to resolve your query and handle any related claims.
- Account data: until you ask us to delete your account, unless we need to keep some data for legal reasons.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, after which we keep a minimal record so we do not contact you again.
- Cookie and usage data: for the periods set out by the relevant tools and your cookie settings.
When we no longer need data, we delete or anonymise it.
9. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the EU/EEA GDPR (including in Norway), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Delete your data in certain circumstances;
- Restrict or object to our use of your data in certain circumstances, including objecting to direct marketing at any time;
- Data portability, meaning receive your data in a usable format and have it transferred to another provider where applicable;
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. This does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email support@simplif.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within one month, as the law requires. These rights are not absolute and some only apply in certain circumstances.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email or by contacting us. We may still send you service messages about your orders.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first at support@simplif.com and we will try to put things right.
You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority:
- United Kingdom: the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), ico.org.uk.
- Norway: the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), datatilsynet.no.
- Other EEA countries: the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work.
11. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No online service can be completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information (such as full card numbers) to us by email, and keep any account password confidential.
12. Children
Our website is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us at support@simplif.com and we will delete it.
13. Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies before sharing your data.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where the law requires, tell you about important changes.
